A tree’s root system is its lifeline — and when those roots get compacted by foot traffic, construction, or paving, or when they start to circle the trunk and strangle it (girdling roots), the whole tree starts to suffer. Air spading is the prescription.
We use a high-pressure air compressor to safely strip away the soil around the root zone — exposing the roots without cutting, tearing, or damaging them. Once we can see what’s going on under there, we can prune out the roots that are choking the tree’s vascular system: the tissue that moves water, minerals, and nutrients from the soil up into the canopy.
Roots are 90% of why a tree thrives or struggles. Fixing what’s happening underground is often the difference between a slow decline and a full recovery.
