Plenty of tree problems can’t be diagnosed from the ground. Decay pockets at branch unions, cracks in scaffold limbs, hidden cavities, early signs of disease in the upper canopy — they’re all up there, and the only way to see them is to climb up and look.
What an aerial inspection covers:
- Structural condition of the trunk, scaffold limbs, and crown
- Visible signs of decay, cavities, or cracks
- Pest and disease indicators
- Risk assessment — what’s actually dangerous versus what just looks bad
- Recommendations: prune, brace, air spade, monitor, or remove
